Sun, Sand, Sex by Linda Lael Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Forget (and forgive) the cover and the title, this is an interesting and smart, not a silly and easy book.
The first short story, "One last weekend", is about a couple in their early forties that is separating, and discover a new affinity and bond in the summer holiday home (and thanks to the dog). Really interesting in the romance panorama, with unusual plot and characters.
The novella by Shelly Laurenston, "My kind of town", is funny and witty and features characters well loved by her fans. Yes, it's summer in this novella too, but really it's not so important for the plot, that has a dark side.
The third novella, by Jennifer Apodaca, I haven't read (sorry).
So, the question remains: why this stupid title? Why so banal cover image? Sigh...
